I was blessed beyond measure to stumble onto the good and honest breeder

After losing our beloved bichon, Moxy in August 2018, we didn't rush to adopt another dog because Moxy was and is irreplaceable. We also have a schnauzer and another bichon. Still we knew someone was missing after Moxy passed; that the time would come to find another furry kiddo, but where? Our bichon, Moxy had ongoing health issues her whole life despite having an amazing demeanor. I was extremely nervous and cautious about finding a reputable breeder. Through a series of fortuitous events, I was blessed beyond measure to stumble onto the good and honest breeder -- Barb Lierman and Heartland Classics. First of all, Barb is the Mary Poppins of dog breeders (I am convinced). She is kind, patient, professional and clearly very, very good at bringing dogs and families together. We adopted a healthy, little girl (Lucy), who is a Coton de Tulear. She was born 11/10/18. We live in Northern Illinois and were due to drive to Omaha to pick our girl up. In the middle of impending polar weather fronts and a schedule conflict, we could not make the drive. Nonetheless, Barb came to the rescue. She assured us that Lucy would be safe and do perfectly well on her flight into O'Hare as we were just ahead of really cold weather. The morning of her arrival, she walked right out of her crate at AA arrivals and straight into our hearts. She is so smart. She arrived already potty trained and has slept mostly through the night all by herself in her crate since she arrived in January. I have had dogs my entire life and never had such a sweet soul in a dog. She's always joyful and loving. As our other bichon is 12+ and aging, I know the time will come when she too will transition. I am absolutely certain that when the time is right, we will return to Barb once again for another of her amazing dogs. Lastly, our vet has said he has never seen a dog so healthy. He told us it was a sign of very high-quality care and breeding that our Coton (Lucy) came to us potty-trained and also with teeth shedding so late. He's been impressed with the quality of dog that Barb is helping to bring into the world. Thank you!!!
