Our Wheaten, Tobias

When we began looking for a Wheaten puppy, I looked at every breeder I could find. Yes, there were a few closer to us than Barb at Heartland Classics, but Barb was by far the most knowledgable about the breed, about Irish vs. American coat, and Wheatens in general. Although she runs a kennel and has many puppies at most times, she genuinely cares about each one. Our puppy, Tobias, is an Irish coated Wheaten and the offspring of Gil and Fidget, born in December, 2013. When we picked him up, it was obvious that he had been well cared for, impeccably groomed, and had learned his name, (We let her know his new name, and from that moment on she and her team called him by that.) He immediately knew that he would walk at my side, although being a puppy is pushing that boundary at the moment, understood that was where he should be. Besides raising a beautiful puppy, Barb handled the business end as a professional. I received wonderful, prompt communication with every question I had, and I asked my fair share. She sent updates on Toby every 2 weeks like clockwork. I had his new pictures, knew just how much he weighed and was given developmental updates for his age. Not only are we completely pleased with those aspects, but her prices are the best I ever saw. The products in her store are very reasonably priced and the toys we got in the puppy pack are Tobias' favorites. She knows her puppies! Thanks, Barb, for being a blessing to us by making this adoption an event to be remembered!
